Shots of Valencia

Hi there,

Finally a new story!! A couple of weeks ago I went on a trip to Valencia. This city can be added to my list of favourite places. I really enjoyed the cute little streets and the colourful houses.

Moreover, this city has it all! There are a lot of cultural sights to visit, but if you’re more a modern kind of person; modern architecture is represented too at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. Besides, there are cute little shops and if you’re up to take a walk at the seaside or just to get tanned at the beach; that is also possible. So, you have several options for the day.

While walking through the cultural part of Valencia, I ran into so many beautiful spots; every corner and every building is worth photographing, for sure. I can imagine that being constantly in a crowdy city makes you feel a little bit restless. Well, if you take the bus half an hour to a place nearby; you will find a beautiful lake. It is completely the opposite of the city side; all peaceful and quiet. There is a possibility to take a boat and sail through the reed, where you can see a lot of birds and ducks.

Are you going with me through my little photodiary?

You may have noticed it before; wearing prints is my favourite thing, and to create a real party; mix them together! It sure brightens up your mood too :).

When wearing print on print: match identical prints (co-ord sets works really good), or don’t take it too seriously and mix different prints together. I like to match fine prints in the same colour scheme. Choose to wear a printed skirt and shirt and style it off with a bow round your neck, to go for the cute-look! Or mix comfy printed items to go for the shopping-look.

Mix it up and cheer up the city streets!

I love to wear jeans, but since it’s too hot to wear those on summer days, and since I don’t really like to wear shorts every day (hate pulling those down constantly), there is the denim skirt! Same material, same feeling. Sounds great right! Besides, it can easy be matched with anything; what’s not to love?!

Wear it off with a silk scarf, create a jewellery-party and match it with fringed slippers for the real Ibiza-feeling! Celebrate summer for as long as it will take.

São Miguel

New week, new weather! And how I hate those rainy days here, so it’s the perfect day to review my trip to the Azores. I visited one of the 9 islands of the Azores-group; São Miguel. When you need a total relax-vacation, this island will definitely be a good choice. It has an amazing nature and that brings you to wonderful views and nice walks down the lakes. This place has its charm by not having busy and overpopulated cities; São Miguel has tiny peaceful villages instead and that’s even lovelier.

However this island doesn’t have that much shops in its cities (actually, the villages don’t have plenty to offer; there are not even much local people on the streets), and as much as I love shopping, the islands breath-taking nature has topped that off for the week. Let’s see if you agree with me 🙂 (see pictures below).

From the 9th until the 12th of July, the local people had a religion-related celebration. There were all kinds of traditional activities in the city, very impressive.

Every view is wonderful on this island, and most of all: green!

Yesterday it was a wonderful sunny day. Since school holidays had started, I love to have fun with my loved ones to enjoy summer! So yesterday it was a perfect day to go sailing with my lovely friends. I was wearing my animal printed dungarees.

One of the things I like is mixing prints, and so I did this day by matching animal print with stripes. That combination always works!! Wear it with sneakers or just slippers, like I did. Do you know what I love about dungarees? You only have to grab this one peace out of your closet, match it with any tee you like and your outfit is selected within a second ánd you’ll definitely look great! No hundreds of outfit-changes needed; perfect when you’re out of inspiration right?!

Soon I will talk about my latest trip to Sâo Miguel, so stay tuned!
Have a nice day!

Breathtaking Zakynthos

A couple of weeks ago, I visited the beautiful Island Zakinthos (also known as ‘Zante’) with my family. Since I travelled to Santorini last year, I’ve had high expectations of the Greek Islands. They can bring you all their own characteristics. Zakynthos has plenty of beautiful beaches, each one is really worth visiting! Especially the famous Navagio Beach with the shipwreck, which you can only visit by boat. When in May, the Island is peaceful because that’s the beginning of the season, while in July it’s very crowdy and full of tourists. It is the right time to visit this Island around the beginning of the season, which is absolutely the time when Zakynthos is the most beautiful and full of warm locals who are not stressing out on high season. I like the feeling of relaxing at the beach, walking through cute little villages and not being bothered by too many tourists who are blocking my way when taking a picture of something nice, having dinner at a traditional restaurant and take everything once at a time. That’s the perfect holiday! And so we did.

During the week, we’ve seen a lot. When visiting this Island, hiring a bike, squad or car is really a good idea. Especially when you cannot do everything by foot anyway. The Caretta Caretta turtle is joining Zakynthos every year, so it’s worth taking a boattrip to spot the turtles and to relax on Turtle Island (Marathonisi) for a while. There are also several cute little villages, with colourful houses and tiny churches. The blue caves are heavenly and also a good trip to make! And as I said before: every beach is worth visiting, with the clear seawater you’ll live in paradise just for one moment. Just scroll down the pictures, then you’ll know what I mean :).

See you soon!

Flower Power!

River Island floral pants / Zara blouse / Sperry Top-Sider Bahama shoesAce & Tate sunglassesHeart to get initial necklace

I’m packing for my trip to the sun this week and I’m getting excited by seeing these floral trousers, love the print; so cheerful! Just because it’s a rainy Sunday today, it’s even more a pleasure to know that I’m enjoying the sun tomorrow.

These trousers are good for a sunny day. I automatically feel great when wearing it. Style it off with some high heels and classy coat to have the chic-feeling, or wear it with comfy sneakers and a denim jacket while conquering the city to do some daily shopping. I like to wear the trousers with a simple blouse or shirt, but when you’re in the mood, you can also style it off with another print or colour. Give it a shot! One thing is for sure: you’ll bring the happiness everywhere you go in these trousers.

See you soon!
